18 Month Old Check Up

Well doctor confirmed it....we have a great baby on our hands. Here's his stats...

28 lbs - 75% Weight
33.25" - 75% Height
19in - 70% Head Circumference (proves out he does not and will not have as big of head as his dad. whew!)

He did great except when the nurse or doctor wanted to touch him. After the nurse measured his height (picture kicking screaming toddler - I am not so sure the measurement is accurate but I digress), Cooper was so over it he just looked at the nurse and said bye bye and started waving for her to go away. HAHAHA. Seriously I couldn't stop laughing. He did the same thing with the doctor. Basically he was just like I am done with you people bye bye! What a smart kid!

Cooper has also started jumping and both feet come off the ground. Apparently this normally doesn't start to happen until 2 or after. Again he's advanced people - proud mommy here.

Now I am off to beach with some girlfriends to celebrate...what you ask - turning an age I don't wish to share :-)

Here's some cute pictures of the little man taken with my cell phone in the car. So sweet.

Cooper and Mommy Picnic

So this is late, but had to add it so I didn't forget how sweet/funny/cute Cooper is. On Mother's Day, we spent alot of time playing outside. At one point, I laid out a blanket. Cooper and I sat down and had a snack. After we had our snack, I laid down on the blanket and Cooper thought that was hilarious. So then he started to lay down and he would just laugh. He cracks me up sometimes.

The boy and his driver...

Let me explain. We went to Dick's Sporting Goods to look at some golf shoes for E. As we are walking through the golf section, there we see it. A little baby driver. Cooper immediately picks it up and won't let it out of his grip. (He barely let the guy ring it up.) When we got home and played outside he wouldn't put it down. It was time to go in, so of course we tell him he has to put it up, he has a mini break down. The boys loves this club. Take a look.

Say what?

Before I forget these sayings I had to write them down.

I think Cooper may have gotten the indecisive dinner gene from me...

K - "Cooper, what do you want for dinner?"
C - "Ummmmmm"

Things I can't believe I have to say -
"Cooper get out of the trash. I can't believe I have to say this to you twice."
"Cooper you put things in the trash, not take them out. Please don't tell me you ate that from the trash."

Seriously -
"Cooper, it's not uh oh if you do it on purpose."

Cooper has really started babbling a lot more lately. He's starting to put things together. Such as, "Bye bye da da". He also tries to copy what we are saying, which really is hilarious. Guess we need to be careful what we say now!

This face melts my heart...

Our family visits

Wanting to catch the blog up to current day...just to warn you no pictures on this post, but pictures are coming. Going back a few weeks Mom Mom and Pop Pop came to visit Cooper and to go to the golf tournament. Cooper was so excited when they pulled up. Everything Cooper did he wanted Pop Pop and Mom Mom to be there. For example, we would bring Cooper up for a bath. He would look down the stairs, around the corner looking for where they both were. Then he would start calling them, "pop pop, mom mom". I loved it - how could I not.
They kept him home on Friday while Eddie went to work and I went to the golf tournament. Needless to say - I am pretty sure Cooper did whatever he wanted. When Mom Mom tried to put him down for nap, he convinced her that wasn't necessary by signing to her and talking to her. Cooper - what an excellent negotiator. Cooper won...he napped when he was ready...much much later. He was very sad when they had to head back home. He still will randomly look around the corner, go in the guest room looking for Pop Pop and Mom Mom. And each time my heart breaks that we aren't closer.
Then on Saturday we headed down to Ware Shoals to see Reid play baseball. Cooper was a little angel (minus the running all around the baseball field whenever he felt like it). He had so much visiting and exploring new places. On our way home I even made the comment that we are so lucky to have such a great baby boy. (Yes he is still a baby in my world and will always be.)

You know that means I spoke too soon right. On Sunday the spoiled child came out in FULL FORCE. We went to church and Cooper was wild. He would not sit still, he kept yelling out. At one point I was in the back with him and the preacher walked by. Clearly I was trying to look like I had it all under control - all the while knowing I looked like a crazy person that didn't know what to do. He just laughed and I just smiled back. At that point I looked at Cooper and said this is enough and we walked outside. The rest of the day was more of the same. Just when I think man we have this down...we have a day like Sunday. Love you Cooper for reminding me that this is not easy!

Lions, Tigers and Bears Oh My!

Last weekend (I know but seriously better late than never right?!) we packed up the little man and headed down to Columbia to meet Poppa Bruce, KiKi and Reid for a fun day at the Riverbanks Zoo. We thought Cooper would love the animals. He loves dogs and birds, so zoo seemed like one of those things we should do while its not too hot. And guess what - he really loved it! (Let's be honest - he really loved all the attention from Poppa Bruce, Kiki and Reid. Really who can blame him.) His favorie animals were the monkeys and then they had a little exhibit with fish and he loved staring at all the fishies.

We walked around, looked at all the animals, rode the carosel, looked at some beautiful gardens, had lunch, rode the tram back to the animal exhibits and really just had a great time hanging out with each other. Take a look at the pictures...

School Picnic 2010

So it was that time of year again. Cooper's school had their annual picnic. If you remember last year they had this and I forgot my camera. Not this year folks! How proud of me are you? I have learned something in a year - always carry your camera. Please take a look at how sweet these pictures are...

Easter 2010

Happy Easter! It's a little late, but better late than never right?!

We had a great Easter holiday. We started with a couple of Egg Hunts, then headed down to Vero to visit everyone. Cooper did great on the ride down to Vero. He actually stayed awake pretty much the entire trip watching Yo Gabba Gabba. (To say we were over that video is an understatement.) He also got to stay in a hotel for the first time. He loved it. He thought it was the neatest thing to just run around the room. Well, instead of writing it all out, how about I just share all the pictures.
