2 years old!

Dear Cooper,

As I write this you are sleeping soundly in your crib after a fun filled birthday. We started with presents then a birthday party at school and then a party at home with your favorite dinner (chicken nuggets, mashed potatoes and corn). When you are asked if you are a baby or a big boy you still respond "Baby!". And you are right, you are our baby and will always be.

I remember the day you were born so vividly. The anticipation, the nerves, the fear. But most of all I remember that first cry. I was so worried something was wrong that I yelled at your dad to go and check to make sure you were ok. And he brought you back to me to meet for the very first time. It's quite unbelievable that it has been 2 years since that moment. We have learned so much in these two years - how little of patience I have (and you too really)and how much you really can love someone. Cooper you are the greatest thing to ever happen to us. You challenge us constantly, but when we see all the things you can now do it is all worth it.

So what are you up to these days?
You are starting to dribble a basketball.
You love to shoot baskets, throw the football, play golf and really just run and jump around.
You love lollipops, spiderman snacks, cupcakes and apple juice.
You are throwing more and more fits - just proving that your really are 2 years old.
You love your classroom and your teachers.
You are talking up a storm and love for people to talk to you.
All in all you are a fabulous 2 year old little boy!

We love you!

APPLES!!!!

My boy - he loves apples. Now I did not know this until we went to the apple orchards and picked our own apples. That's right folks we went apple picking! Seriously though 3 people do not need 40 apples but it was so darn fun I couldn't stop. And yes I do mean "I" couldn't stop, Cooper he liked to eat the apples not pick them. But I loved it. And really he did too. Sitting in a wagon eating apples, adorable right? Here's my boy on our first fall trip!

Elmo Pumpkin

It's been a bit crazy around here. A couple of things from this weekend:
1. Cooper got a haircut. They cut all my baby's hair off! It's WAY too short. We will be letting it grow back out.
2. Cooper and I found the cutest thing at Target. It's a figure that you can put into a pumpkin. It makes an Elmo pumpkin. Needless to say, it was a big hit at our house.
3. Our kitchen renovation starts this week. So we spent all weekend preparing the kitchen. Eddie painted all day on Saturday and I have to say, we should have done that years ago. It made such a difference. Then we had to take everything out of the cabinets. Talk about work! But we are now ready for a beautiful NEW kitchen! Yay!
4. Cooper is loving Spiderman right now. You will see below.

Here are some pictures from the weekend (and last weekend).

My sweet Coop...

It's been a bit crazy around here. So there isn't much to update because we really haven't been doing to much outside of work. And from these pictures, Cooper is included in that working. Is it bad that my not yet 2 year old can say, "Mama work". Seriously breaks my heart every time I hear it. The past 2 weeks, he's said it alot. Can't be good. So instead of my words, I figured I would let Cooper share his thoughts.
