Happy Father's Day!

We had a good Father's Day around here. There was lots of golf, baseball and soccer on our tv ALL weekend! That's all he wanted.

I look at Cooper each day and realize how similar he is to his dad. I hope that Cooper grows up to be a wonderful and caring man like his dad. It makes me teary thinking about how great E is with Cooper and how great he is to me for that matter. Cooper and I are very lucky.

Here are my two boys getting ready for bed and reading stories.

The little guy

Well, Cooper is doing much better in his new class. He also has been learning some new skills! Check it out. The first picture is Cooper watching his new favorite show, The Fresh Beat Band. It really is a cute little show with lots of singing and dancing - he loves it. Then there are the pictures of his new bball skills and him on his new bike!

He's a dragonfly...

In case you haven't heard, Cooper has moved up from the Frisky Frogs to the Dragonflies. He has had a bit of a rough time transitioning to the new class. (Shocking I know considering his dad huh? Hah!) He is getting better though. I got a note home today saying that he actually would calm himself down today and go play with toys and the other kids. Thank goodness. Each day the teacher leaves me a note telling me how sweet of a boy he is. And he really is a sweet boy. Makes me so thankful to have such a wonderful baby boy.

Memorial Day 2010

We had such a fun filled Memorial Day weekend! I guess it was a little bit more than just a weekend considering we flew down to FL Wednesday morning, but I digress. We decided this time we should fly because we got a pretty reasonable deal flying into an airport much closer to Vero. And I must say, that is the way to go! Cooper was great. While we were waiting to take off he was having so much fun looking out the window and pointing at all the "airpanes" (or as we know them airplanes). He also liked pointing out all the trucks on the runway. And yes there are quite a few of them - I never have noticed this before. As soon as we started to take off, the sweet baby laid his head down and went to sleep for the whole flight! Seriously it doesn't get better than that.
We had so much fun swimming, playing, resting, playing and playing some more. Cooper LOVED all the attention. (which we are paying for now by the way Cooper is not liking going to school since we came back). Cooper got to hang out with Pop Pop and MK while me, Mom Mom, MS, and Meems all went to see Sex and the City II and Eddie, Uncle Bob and J went to see the Braves v. Marlins. I'm pretty sure Cooper was treated like a King.
On Friday we attempted to take Cooper to the beach. To say he didn't like it is the understatement of the year. He didn't like the waves or the sand. I mean really that is everything about the beach right? However, he did like shoveling the sand into the bucket and then dumping it out. On Friday night we had a fried shrimp (just for Eddie) and home made chicken nuggets. Cooper ate like a champ. I think he was a fan of Meem's chicken nuggets.
Saturday was my birthday so Mom Mom, MS and me went to get our toes and hair done to get ready for our dinner at the Ocean Grill. And dinner was DELICIOUS. Cooper's behavior during dinner not the best, but we will let it slide. Somehow we walked out of the restaurant with a book we had to purchase because Cooper was throwing a fit in the gift shop because he wanted to read it. (I know - I shouldn't give in like that, but seriously we hadn't even started dinner yet.) Once we get back to the table with the book he starts to read it and then throws it down - ahhh lovely. Cooper this was not your finest moment. All in all we had a great time and Cooper calmed down in the end. We headed back on Sunday and again Cooper slept on the plane. It was such a great and relaxing weekend. Here are a few pictures from our adventures.
