Quotes of the Day

He ran into the house today from school (E picked him today) and he said,
"Mommy! Mommy! Oh I missed you Mommy!" Sweet boy.

There was a puppy on his towel tonight for bath. He shook my hand and said,
"Nice to meet you Puppy." I responded, "Oh puppy what's you name?" "Amos!"
"Amos?" "Yes Mommy Amos!" (no clue where on earth he heard the name Amos)

Now whenever you ask a question like, "Who likes (fill in the blank)?" Cooper raises his hand and says, "MEEEEEEE!"

I told Cooper, "Coop you are just awesome." And he replies, "I awesome Mommy." Yup, he is!

He loves me, he loves me not...

Just when you think you have this parenting thing down, they make you realize you have no clue what you are doing. Case in point - The paci is gone! We were so proud of ourselves. And really it wasn't that painful. We told him we were giving the pacis to Baby Riva. He didn't like this and we had a couple of nights that were a little rough, but really all in all not bad. So we were feeling pretty proud of ourselves - not going to lie. Then something happened. We don't know what. But the waking up at night started again last week. To the point he wouldn't lay back down without screaming his head off. We have no idea what is up with him. Are his molars coming in? Is he sick? Nightmares? So last night, he starts screaming around 330am. I get up go in and pick him up and he screams louder. I try and rock him and he screams more, then it starts - DADDY!!! No no DADDY! WHAT??? All I could think was what did I do? So I run in and tell E go in there he doesn't want me. E walks in picks him up and silence. Seriously???? Does my boy not like me any more?

The boy who cried wolf

Cooper is really into telling on people in his class right now. Here's what I have heard no less than 20 times the past 3 days -

"Katie bit my hand."
"Lucas pushed me down."
"Lucas bit me."
"Ashley took my phone."

So clearly I don't believe any of this really happens. But the pushing down one, I asked E to ask Coop's teachers the next morning. Sure enough Lucas had pushed Cooper down. I have to be honest I didn't believe Cooper at all. Cooper - if I were you I would stop making up things that happen to you. Mommy may not believe you.
