My boy continued...

Please read previous post before this one. Maybe I put too many pictures in one post - it wouldn't let me post any more. So do I stop posting - no, no, no, just do another post! This was tonight after dinner, so please excuse the shirt. The applesauce went everywhere, but mainly on the shirt. Even so, isn't he cute? Look at that face. Melts my heart! He was very busy watching his favorite show, The Fresh Beat Band.

And to end it all, a guessing game...is this Cooper? is it Eddie? Seriously scary how similar they look right?

That's my boy

My boy - he's so smart, funny, kind, sweet, crazy, wild, and oh so lovable. I have so much to share that I get sidetracked and just want to soak it all in - so I post nothing. However, during a conversation at work I was reminded that one day my boy will grow up and he won't want to hug me, give me a kiss, or even be seen with me (unless he needs something). It made me sad. He is my boy - always and forever. I hope I always remember this sweet face and how at night he tells me, "Nigh Nigh Mama. I lub yewww." So instead of getting sidetracked - I will post pictures of my boy...
Why play with only one club?

What's he doing you ask? Playing "goss" of course.

Oh here? Teeing up the ball silly...(no neither of us told him or asked him to do this. He thought of it all on his own - please reread first line - smart boy I tell you.)

What's this on your hand Cooper? What happened?

Oh of course - why wouldn't you have ink from AN INK PAD all over your hand? (again reread first line - crazy folks)

Oh now you are bored with the ink pad so why don't you just sit in your seat and snap your self in?

Oh can't get it snapped when you are sitting in it, so hop down and try.

Coop

Just a warning this is going to be rambling post with no pictures (GASP!). Lots of little things I want to write down so that when I look back when Cooper is 10 and doesn't want to hang out with his mom, I can just look back at this and remember...

1. Cooper - you have lots of nicknames: Coop, Per, Coopie pie, Coo Coo, Bear - what will you be called later on?
2. I love the way when you wake up you stay in your bed getting used to the morning - then when I walk in to get you up you have a smile that brightens the whole room.
3. I hope you stay as sweet as you are now. You love to hand us things now and say "thank yewww" Or when you really want something you will say "pease" before I even have to say "What do you say?" When I pick you up from school I always ask your teachers if you had a good day. Today they said, "Oh yes Cooper had a great day - Cooper always has a great day!" Sweet boy.
4. I love it each night after we read your story and then your bible story then we say our prayers I say to you who do you call? And you look at me and smile and whisper "Da Da". I say to you, You better say it louder so he can hear you, and you whisper again "Da Da". Then you will get all excited when you hear your Daddy's footsteps and start to yell "DA DA"! And as soon as you see his face peek around the corner you get so excited and leap into his arms.
5. You love golf clubs - or as you like to say it "goss clubs". (how do you get a "s" sound from an "f"?) You could stay outside for hours just trying to swing those clubs.

Like I said random post with no pictures - it was all for me!

Want to know the greatest idea ever?

DRY ERASE CRAYONS!!!! Even though they are great, they aren't so great when you find little pieces of art on your stairs, walls, rugs, etc. And yes, they do wipe away leaving no marks, but seriously we have been cleaning alot of these "art projects"! Oh Cooper - isn't he sweet?

Is it too soon?

So, let me explain. We have a little potty that sits next to Cooper's bathtub. He likes to sit on it and push the buttons to make it sing songs. We all stand there and sing together. We really just have it out to get him used to it so he isn't scared of it when the time comes. Well tonight after we sang the songs (multiple times I might add) he looked at the big potty pointed at it and wanted to sit on it. We sit him up there, he looks around and then he gets some toliet paper. And he was ready to get down. Seriously!!! Isn't it too soon for him to get this? He isn't even 2 yet! I told you - he is growing up.

We had a great week and weekend!

Cooper had a great week. A little girl in his class had a birthday party. And she gave everyone these. Can you tell he loved them???? He wouldn't take them off! Even to go to bed!

He also loved his new outfit we got him while we were down in Vero.

This weekend we had lots of fun. We went to the Matthews Farmers Market. It was so HOT. However, Cooper loved walking around staring at all the people. We didn't bring his stroller we just let him walk along with us. And honestly I think he just loved the fact he wasn't strapped into a stroller. He could careless about the vegetables, but he did love the berry lemonade they had. Haha!
Today we got up and went to church and then went to the Club for breakfast. At church it was hilarious. We finished singing a song and Cooper yells "YAY!" and starts clapping. Isn't he funny! He must have really liked that song.

After that we went to Lowes to pick out some flowers then the grocery store. Needless to say Cooper was exhausted and ready for a nap. After nap, we filled up the baby pool and hung around outside in the pool (once it cooled off a little).

I know it sounds pretty boring, but really it was great. We were all together and just hanging out. Cooper is growing up so fast and becoming such a sweet little boy. We got compliments from a couple of people how well behaved Cooper was. It's amazing to me to think how little he was and how he has gotten to be such a big boy. Makes me sad, but at the same time he is so much fun right now. As he learned to say today, "Nice!" Hahah!

Week in Photos

What better way to explain our week than with photos instead of words. Because honestly do you want to read it or see pictures of the cutest little boy ever?
That's what I thought.

Happy Father's Day!

We had a good Father's Day around here. There was lots of golf, baseball and soccer on our tv ALL weekend! That's all he wanted.

I look at Cooper each day and realize how similar he is to his dad. I hope that Cooper grows up to be a wonderful and caring man like his dad. It makes me teary thinking about how great E is with Cooper and how great he is to me for that matter. Cooper and I are very lucky.

Here are my two boys getting ready for bed and reading stories.

The little guy

Well, Cooper is doing much better in his new class. He also has been learning some new skills! Check it out. The first picture is Cooper watching his new favorite show, The Fresh Beat Band. It really is a cute little show with lots of singing and dancing - he loves it. Then there are the pictures of his new bball skills and him on his new bike!

He's a dragonfly...

In case you haven't heard, Cooper has moved up from the Frisky Frogs to the Dragonflies. He has had a bit of a rough time transitioning to the new class. (Shocking I know considering his dad huh? Hah!) He is getting better though. I got a note home today saying that he actually would calm himself down today and go play with toys and the other kids. Thank goodness. Each day the teacher leaves me a note telling me how sweet of a boy he is. And he really is a sweet boy. Makes me so thankful to have such a wonderful baby boy.

Memorial Day 2010

We had such a fun filled Memorial Day weekend! I guess it was a little bit more than just a weekend considering we flew down to FL Wednesday morning, but I digress. We decided this time we should fly because we got a pretty reasonable deal flying into an airport much closer to Vero. And I must say, that is the way to go! Cooper was great. While we were waiting to take off he was having so much fun looking out the window and pointing at all the "airpanes" (or as we know them airplanes). He also liked pointing out all the trucks on the runway. And yes there are quite a few of them - I never have noticed this before. As soon as we started to take off, the sweet baby laid his head down and went to sleep for the whole flight! Seriously it doesn't get better than that.
We had so much fun swimming, playing, resting, playing and playing some more. Cooper LOVED all the attention. (which we are paying for now by the way Cooper is not liking going to school since we came back). Cooper got to hang out with Pop Pop and MK while me, Mom Mom, MS, and Meems all went to see Sex and the City II and Eddie, Uncle Bob and J went to see the Braves v. Marlins. I'm pretty sure Cooper was treated like a King.
On Friday we attempted to take Cooper to the beach. To say he didn't like it is the understatement of the year. He didn't like the waves or the sand. I mean really that is everything about the beach right? However, he did like shoveling the sand into the bucket and then dumping it out. On Friday night we had a fried shrimp (just for Eddie) and home made chicken nuggets. Cooper ate like a champ. I think he was a fan of Meem's chicken nuggets.
Saturday was my birthday so Mom Mom, MS and me went to get our toes and hair done to get ready for our dinner at the Ocean Grill. And dinner was DELICIOUS. Cooper's behavior during dinner not the best, but we will let it slide. Somehow we walked out of the restaurant with a book we had to purchase because Cooper was throwing a fit in the gift shop because he wanted to read it. (I know - I shouldn't give in like that, but seriously we hadn't even started dinner yet.) Once we get back to the table with the book he starts to read it and then throws it down - ahhh lovely. Cooper this was not your finest moment. All in all we had a great time and Cooper calmed down in the end. We headed back on Sunday and again Cooper slept on the plane. It was such a great and relaxing weekend. Here are a few pictures from our adventures.
